Essentially, along the process of building the oven, we’ve come to understand, at a deeper level, how solar energy can be used and applied to several different technologies. While it is easy to think about photovoltaic solar panels as the main, sole application for solar radiation, it has become obvious that several other options are available.
This solar oven, using a concave reflective surface, concentrates the solar rays into a smaller area – where the pot is placed. There, high temperatures are achieved and is where the magic happens. During a sunny day, a nice meal can be ready quite fast!
