Josep Lascurain, a biologist who focuses on ecology and the environment, has conducted a workshop in Valldaura called “Monitoring the Landscape”. The workshop covered water issues, and a research was conducted in order to find ways to research the resources given through rainwater, the mine waters, and others.
Lascurain evaluates a rain gauge to track not only the amount of rainfall during a given period, but also to take into account the impermeability of the soils and land around Valldaura. This data is essential for good resources management and a sustainable use of the land and the resources for the house.
