As part of the restoration, empowerment and cleaning efforts; both of the house and of the environment of Valldaura, a group of volunteers have been willing to clean the margins and the road to the house.
It was during that process of cleaning that an old tank appeared to everyone’s surprise. What at first looked like a wall, then a simple tank, has proven to be what was a complex pipeline system and storage of water for the old lands.
It took hours (and sweat), but in the end, from that small initial group of stones we managed to unearth the entire structure and understand how it works. Sometimes, a day of outdoor work ends up with interesting surprises.
Well, to celebrate, we later gathered for a barbecue with friends – not bad!
